Being so lucky as to end your cruise in Venice, you absolutely cannot miss the chance of having at least a quick tour to the heart of the city. If you prefer to enjoy a few hours far from all the other cruise passengers, in an independent way, why don’t you chose a private tour, with a guide all for yourself or to be shared with a few travel mates? The Passengers’ Maritime Station is not very far away from the historical center, but you simply have to know how to reach it! Not all operators involved within tourism can enter the restricted port area: as a tourist guide and tour assistant, I decided to attend a course about the port organization and security in order to get a permit that allows me to welcome my guests at the pier, very close to their own cruise ship. From the Passengers’ Maritime station/port, sitting in a comfortable private taxi or in a public water bus, I will start off by talking about Venice and I will illustrate the wonders of the Giudecca Canal until we get to St. Mark’s Square, from where we may go on with the classic tour including St. Mark’s Church and the Doge’s Palace (see tour- The must of Venice: private walking tour among the city highlights) or I will be pleased to guide you through another suggested tour (Itineraries for everyone taste) or a fully customized itinerary. TOUR DETAILS For your cruise shore excursion you can chose a tour among my suggestions in Itineraries for everyone taste or contact me for a tailor made excursion.
