Down the scaffolding and there was light! After a long and careful restoration, the magnificent mosaic of Genesis in St Mark's Church is revealed to the few tourists who brave the cold temperature of the Venetian winter.
Finalement sans les échafaudages, après une restauration longue et minutieuse, la magnifique mosaïque de la Genèse dans la Basilique de St Marc est dévoilée aux peu de touristes qui défient les températures froides de l'hiver vénitien.

In the past, glass masters had to keep the secrets of their marvellous art and if they tried to set up a shop beyond the lagoon they were assassinated by the secret police! But they were so highly estimated that their daughters were allowed to get married with a noble man...
Voilà mon ami Paolo Crepax au travail, l'un des maîtres verriers les plus connus de Venise. Au temps jadis, les maîtres verriers devaient garder le secret de leur art merveilleux et s’ils essayaient de s'installer hors de la lagune, ils étaient assassinés par la police secrète ! Mais ils étaient tellement estimés que leurs filles pouvaient même se marier avec un noble…

Finalmente, dopo tre anni, il Ponte dei Sospiri si libera di impalcature e pubblicità: i restauri sono appena finiti, per la gioia degli innamorati che vengono in gondola a baciarsi sotto al ponte al tramonto per rendere eterno il loro amore...
Finally, after three years, the Bridge of Sighs, gets rid of scaffolding and advertising: restoration works have just ended, for the joy of the lovers who try to grant eternal love by kissing on a gondola under the bridge at sunset...
Finalement, après trois ans, le célèbre pont de Soupirs s’est débarrassé des échafaudages et de la publicité : les travaux de restauration viennent de se terminer, pour la joie des amoureux qui viennent s’embrasser sous le pont en gondole pour que leur amour soit éternel …
